What makes an effective executive?  Harward Business Review by Peter F. Drucker

Peter F. Drucker is a famous author of business books of the 20th centuary. Yet, “The effective executive” is still a subject matter of interest! «The effective executive” was a landmark book, he wrote then a shorter version for the Harward Business Review. Below I summarized his  8 rules.

Rules : “Effectives executives…” Why:  “It…”
…they asked “what needs to be done? … gave them the knowledge they needed
…they asked what is right for the company … gave them the knowledge they needed
…they developed action plan … helped them to convert knowledge into effective actions
…they took responsibility for their decision … helped them to convert knowledge into effective actions
…they took responsibility  for communicating … helped them to convert knowledge into effective actions
…they  focused on opportunities rather than problems …helped them to convert knowledge into effective actions
…they ran effective and productive meetings … ensured the whole organization felt responsible and accountable
…they thought and said « we » rather than « I » …ensured the whole organization felt responsible and accountable
